CAPE TOWN – Parliament’s Public Works Committee has received an update on the reconstruction of the National Assembly building which was destroyed by a blaze in January 2022.
Earlier this year, provisional costs for the rebuilding project were estimated at around 3-billion rand.

Deputy Public Works and Infrastructure Minister, Sihle Zikala, says they’ve put all necessary measures in place to complete the process before the end of this Parliamentary term.
