Antique Imperial Nippon Hand Painted Vase with Landscape Scene

Description

This is a lovely piece of Imperial Nippon china.  Measuring approximately 7” in height, the vase features a baby blue background with a hand painted and finely detailed landscape scene with an additional floral motif and gold gilding.  The form of the vase is also unique in that it has four impressed or pinched corners.  The blue Imperial Nippon backstamp reads: “Hand Painted Imperial Nippon”, which indicates that the vase was produced prior to 1921.  With the exception of a few manufacturing dimples and flaws, slight wear to the gold gilding, a small glaze chip, and a spider crack or crazing on the base and on the interior, this pretty Nippon vase is in good vintage condition.
